Boys Clubhouse Somebody gets some loose money together and opens a boys clubhouse, a great thing for the community as it takes them off the streets into a clean safe environment. It has everything. An elaborate arcade with electronic games, simulated race driving, medieval fights and the like for leisure entertainment. Meals are at a school lunchroom. The steam table is closed but refrigerators are well stocked with ready made sandwiches, soda, beer and packaged snacks aplenty that hang from a rack. Horseplay is permitted and classes are not in session. At certain hours of the day they're all together in a carpeted clubroom with comfortable large sofas and theater TV. The membership is all 14 to 18 highschoolers, so the everyday dress is jeans, T-shirt, a colorful team jacket, billcap and sneakers. There's a large walkin closet with well-stocked racks where they have fun changing into sailor, greasemonkey and executive outfits and some bizarre costumes as well. A few relax in just briefs and that's OK as it's all boys. Open till midnight, there are rooms upstairs for a nap or to hang out and do homework with visiting friends. 2/20/10 Jay NY (Giancarlo Giannini stays at Lina Wertmuller's house while on a business trip to Rome, Love and Anarchy 1976.)
