Over   a   landscape  of  Europe  a  series  of   major   geologic
transformations  affect  climate,  air and  water  with  political
implications.  The  devastation is enormous. On a  global  map  in
color  with the latest national boundaries,  live   hotpoints  are 
blinking  dots.   Click  gets  a  video  showing  the   conditions
immediately after the event  in the specified location.  Survivors
are  interviewed  by TV reporters  with  multilingual  voiceovers.
Through  technical  advances  and  logistical  breakthroughs   the
reporting  teams  arrive on the scene well  before  emergency  aid
units.  The terror is depicted raw sans ameliorations and  ratings
are off the charts.  One area is stripped to bedrock.  Such  total
wipeouts  are  jumpy visuals from a robot camera.  Watch  stations
record  real time audience responses and the resulting  polls  are
carefully scrutinized by policy makers in every capital.
