![]() CREDITS & BACKGROUND. Dear Fourpeaks Webpage Visitor, This page was created by Lane DeMuro for a wonderful website "lakegeorge-ny" which Mr. DeMuro has taken down because it's too much work (information through private email). Your Fourpeaks webmaster liked the page so much, it's now being maintained at 4peaks.com with just a bit of updating and minor corrections. However I'm not knowledgeable about the history of the period and much of the text was optically scanned without review from sources unknown to me. The corrections are an ongoing project. History buffs are invited to contribute to this work with comments, corrections, bibliography and links. Thank you. Martin Schwalbaum, Fourpeaks Webmaster, Jay NY, April 11, 1999. P.P.S.
