Hi,
Fourpeaks was beautiful. The location with the mountains, the fields
and the river was my dream of the Adirondacks. The cabin was lovely
with its local furniture. I did exactly what I dreamed of last winter -
hiking in the morning with my dogs, reading in the afternoon. I thought
hiking would be the best but sitting on the cabin deck watching the
thunderheads come over the mountain was even better. And everyone I met
had dogs and was pleasant. I've been telling all my friends with and
without dogs what a great place Fourpeaks is. I hope you're there
forever.

Dear Martin,
Well we got back safe and sound, but wish we could have stayed longer. We
had such a wonderful time and can't wait to come back! New Barn was
everything we had pictured it to be and more. We baked apple crisp with apples from the 5th tree at left of
Camp Gate. Lou and my Dad were even peeling the apples!
And we made the biscuits too!! It was so relaxing to just sit back read a
book and escape from the world. The dogs had a great time swimming in the
river and just sitting by the fire. Even they got back to nature and they knew it too. Martin I hope your grape jelly was a success. You were the perfect host and a terrific tour guide. We are all ready planning our next trip up to "Paradise". Very soon. Thank you for your hospitality.
It was a pleasure meeting you. Thank you for the opportunity to REALLY get away. Till next time......

Hi Martin!
We found our time in your back country satisfying and exactly what we
wanted in a place away from the distractions of the world. The natural
beauty of Fourpeaks was both serene and impressive. Integrated with this
beauty were the awesome, lingering effects of the 1998 ice storm. Our time
was spent walking, cooking, reading, and sleeping. Making scones and
topping them with your grape nut jam was a perfect touch on our last day.
In our opinion, this was a perfect mix for a weekend away. We still have
some jam here at Oneida Lake that is being used sparingly on our morning
toast.
One of the thing that did disappoint us was the fact we planned such a
short time at Fourpeaks. This is why we are planning now to visit again
this November or early December. With luck the snow will be flying by then
and provide a completely different caricature of the forest and mountains.
Our dog Baxter also really enjoyed his time at Fourpeaks. He clearly loved
the walks and all the different smells on the paths and in the cabin. He
was fascinated with the wood stove and gas lights.
We will email soon when we clarify our late-autumn schedule.

Please Rate Our Fourpeaks Website. Whether you're an experienced webmaster or just a novice surfer, you may have feedback or suggestions to help us improve. We well remember the visitor a year or so ago who complained about the unpleasant glare from the HTML default royal blue links. That lead us to entirely revamp our background and link colors, making them softer, more eye pleasing. And the Florida expert who warned us about frustrating visitors with blind links. We followed his advice and now carefully identify each link so visitors know before they "click" exactly where they're clicking to.
