Comments : We stayed at New Camp for our 6th wedding
anniversary. We brought our bassett hound Stanley along with us. As soon
as I walked into the cabin I said out loud, "This is perfect."

Basing our vacation on pictures and descriptions off a website is a scary
notion. Anyone can make a place look great online. Well, the opposite is
true of Fourpeaks. It's much better in person than it appears online. The
cabin is solid and well maintained, and the land is the land. Beautiful and
left alone.

I wanted to walk all day, but I didn't get the chance to. Our dog would
tire much too soon into our walks, partially because it was hot, but mostly
because it was all uphill! But that's okay, we spent our days reading,
sleeping, and talking. I read about 1500 pages during the week. We took
Stanley down to the Au Sable river so he could cool off after one of our
longer walks.

What a place, what a time! We can't wait to go back.

We well remember the visitor a year or so ago who complained about the unpleasant glare from the HTML default royal blue links. That lead us to entirely revamp our background and link colors, making them softer, more eye pleasing. And the Florida expert who warned us about frustrating visitors with blind links. We followed his advice and now carefully identify each link so visitors know before they "click" exactly where they're clicking to.
