Here's a wonderul discovery to brighten up your Lake Placid visit. A New York style deli specializing in designer sandwiches, tasty hot meals and a full selection of wine-by-the-glass and bottled beer. A shopping visit to Lake Placid village can be (frankly speaking) a real downer for an Adirondack mindset. I mean all those people! Did you leave home for this? Busy sidewalks. Dull shops. Where's the mountain views and fresh air? Nowhere to be seen. But if you just have to make it into town--brighten up the experience with a fun meal at The Brown Dog Deli and Wine Bar. (On Main Street accross from the Hilton.)
